Our Story

As a child, I often saw my parents and their friends gather around tea, talking for hours. Back then, I didn’t fully understand why Shaah was so important — it was simply part of everyday life. It wasn’t until I moved away from home and began living on my own that I truly understood. Somali tea became how I made friends, how I connected with people, and how I felt less alone. Shaah has a way of bringing people together. With a pot of tea between us, my friends and I could talk for hours, sharing stories, laughter, and comfort. That’s the feeling I want to recreate — closeness, warmth, and a sense of belonging. With Shaah, there is always a place for everyone.
